HOW TO STUDY FOR THE EXAMS

HOW  TO STUDY FOR THE EXAMS

'Education is the key of success'

WHAT YOU NEED FOR THE STUDIES:                                                                                                                                                                                                                            1.You need textbooks for the subjects that you are studying                                                       2.You will need a notebook and a pento write down the answers to some of the exercices.             3.If you have a calculator ,it will be usefull for doing calculations.                                                    4.A dictionary might also be usefull in looking up other words which you don't  understand.                                                                                                                                                       5.Sometimes you will exercises where you can write in the book if you wish to - you may want to use a pencil , so that you can rub it out later.                                                                           6.You also need past exams papers from previous years to be able to understand and to answer them.

HOW SHOULD YOU PLAN FOR STUDIES?

If you are aiming to write examinations , say in November next year ,look at how many months you have between now and then. Then draw up a study plan so that you will have enough time  to study each chapter, including the end of chapter assignments, and to revise all your work for the exam. The table below may be useful for you to keep track of where you are in your studies.Tick each block as you have completed the work.                                   Try to fit in studt time whenever you can - if you have half an hour free in the evening after work, spend that time studying.Every half hour counts! Each chapteris divided into sections, so that you can study a section and then have a break before going on the next section .lf you find your concentration slipping , have a break and start again when your mind is fresh.Try to plan regular times  in your week to study , and find a quiet place with a desk and a good light to work by.                                                                                                                  NB:At the end of each chapter is an exercises to 'check your progress'- for you to assess whether you have understood the skills and knowledge in the chapter, and you are ready to go on the next one.

MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT CHAPTER IS FOR - THEY WILL HELP TO GUIDE YOU IN YOUR STUDIES.GOOD LUCK!
